Our Story
Scenic Homes began with a dream our mother held from a young age — to open a home where people are cared for with warmth, dignity, and real support.
She originally pursued a degree in Political Science, but life had other plans. Her path eventually led to nursing, where she discovered her true calling — caring for people not just medically, but holistically. Through years of bedside experience in behavioral health, complex medical needs, and personal care, her original dream began to resurface with new purpose.
In 2015, that dream became reality. With the unwavering support of her two daughters, Scenic Homes Alaska was founded as a family-operated assisted living home rooted in compassion, structure, and cultural sensitivity.
Together, we continue her vision — providing safe, individualized care for people of all ages in a place that truly feels like home.

Inclusive Support for Complex Needs
Scenic Homes offers multiple homes to choose from, each designed to meet the unique needs of different age groups, support levels, and personalities — from younger individuals with developmental needs to seniors who benefit from smaller, more personal environments.
We proudly welcome adults of all ages, including older adults who may need extra support to maintain independence and quality of life. Whether someone is managing memory concerns, mobility challenges, or behavioral needs, our homes provide a safe and inclusive environment that feels like family.
We support individuals receiving IDD, CCMC, APDD, ALI, Private Pay & Long-Term Care Insurance services with calm, consistent care provided by trained staff. Each home is structured to offer dignity, comfort, and personalized attention.

Residential Supported Living
Safe, comfortable homes with 24/7 support tailored to each resident’s needs.
We assist with daily living, medication, meals, hygiene, and personal routines — all in a calm, home-like environment where dignity, privacy, and quality of care come first.
Our trauma-informed team provides care with empathy, understanding, and respect for each person’s lived experience, creating a sense of safety, consistency, and belonging every day.
All of our homes are wheelchair-friendly — with no interior stairs, easy-access layouts, and at least one location equipped with an exterior ramp for smooth, barrier-free entry
